April Favourites- Makeup and Hair

So after what seems forever not posting anything, I've had a revamp of my blog and decided I'd do my first monthly favourites!
In the past few weeks I've been purchasing things I've told myself I needed- which of course, I didn't. My main, and utterly stupid excuse, is that 3 for 2 won't last forever in boots, which it won't, right?
But anyway, these are just a few things that I've bought recently that I actually couldn't live without! (Bit dramatic I know).

Firstly, these lip creams are amazing! Ever since Collection 2000 (is it now just Collection?) persuaded me into buying their 'oil free' foundation, which turned out to make me look like an oil slick, I've been a bit dubious about their products. But I watched I Covet Thee on Youtube and she suggested that these lip creams are lovely. And she was right! For £2.99 I was able to have a product I can throw in my bag that I actually like. Crazy right? It looks like a lip gloss and the applicator is one you would find on one, but the cream sets into a matte lipstick that isn't over drying. They have only 4 colours unfortunately, and I only like 3 of them (I bought all 3 haha!). Another bad point is that it doesn't wear amazingly as it starts to rub off if you rub your lips together too much. But still, this is definitely a current favourite!

Boots/Superdrug £2.99
The Healthy Mix Serum is my go to foundation at the moment. I've recently saved my skin from being a spot disaster to completely clear, so if you would like to see how I did it comment below and I'll happily make a blog post about my current routine. This foundation was also a recommendation from Essie Button from Youtube. I never thought my skin would take it but it actually wears really lovely, even on my oily t-zone. It is very light coverage, and a dewy finish. But it makes my skin look healthy (hence the title) and its so light on the skin it feels like I've got no makeup on at all! The lightest colour is a tad too dark for me, but I embrace my pale skin and refuse to fake tan, but it is something I can work with. The packaging is lovely and I love that it has a pump.

I had to include the Buffing Brush by Samantha Chapman simply because of how multi-functional it is! I can use this for a light coverage of foundation, a heavier application of powder and also blusher and bronzer. The fact that it performs so well for all of them that if I had to pack really light then I could use this brush and this brush only.

Real Techniques, Boots, £21.99

And finally... The Tangle Teezer! I wanted to mention this just because of the fact I no longer have the need for both a comb and a hair brush, making it easier to travel. It's so light aswell! And did I mention its glittery? It means I can have it displayed on my top and it looks pretty.
Tangle Teezer, Amazon, £8.83
So they are a few of my favourites, get ready for my clothing favourites/next months wish list!

Have a great week
