My youtube channel

Hello everyone.

I've been thinking about what to post for a few days now but had a bit of a brain freeze unfortunately, however in the mean time I have been making my blog look a little prettier- I even made myself a banner, which is definitely an achievement!
I haven't really mentioned my youtube channel, so I thought it would be a great time to.

My youtube channel is the same as my blog- hauls, reviews and tutorials. I'm not a professional, but I give it my best shot and can honestly say that it is something I love doing.

So I would appreciate if you would all be able to have a look and maybe share it about, I couldn't tell you how much it would mean :)

My favourite Lush products

Popcorn Lip Scrub £5.25, Grease Lightning £5.95, Cosmetic Warrior £5.95, Vanillary £6.50

Hi everyone!

I went on a bit of a lush shopping spree the other day (whoops) and picked up quite a few bits. I've tried them all out and have, of course, got my favourites.
Most of the things I bought were skincare products but I also tried a lip scrub and a solid perfume, just because they were too tempting!
I've never been the best at picking favourite products but these are products that I see myself reaching for at least once a day, either because my skin is being an stroppy idiot and breaking out or because they smell too good not to.

So first up is Cosmetic Warrior- this should have the words 'life saver' in bold across the lid, because thats literally what it is.
If i get any major redness or a blemish ill put this all over my face for about 10 minutes whilst it works its wonders and it reduces the redness a lot. I got this free because I bought 5 products, so that a bonus! But I'd definitely purchase this out of my own money again.

Popcorn Lip Scrub next! If i close my eyes I could actually believe I'm tasting popcorn. Obviously it doesn't taste the exact same but it is very similar! I love how this gets away any dry skin but it moisturises at the same time, as it leaves a lovely oily feel to the lips afterwards. It is a bit pricey for something you can't wear outside, but it will last a long time and it fits in with my nighttime routine.

Solid Perfume is now something I'll always want to have on me, especially Vanillary by Lush. Its such a cute size and has the nicest, natural smell. It smells so much like lush's shops, and I personally love that smell. The lady told me in the shop that its multi-use, so it can be used to run through the hair as a split end remedy and to make the hair smell nice. What more can you ask for?

So these are just a few of my favourite products I own by Lush. The fact that their products are all natural is a reason why I chose them- knowing I'm not putting harsh, unnatural chemicals on my face is such a relief!

Thanks for reading, and have a lovely week.

Nailtiques- Rescuing my nails since 2013

I'm first off going to apologise for my lack of posts and my short absence. Revision and school work has taken over my life and when I do have time I'm working. I know not many people read my posts anyway but its more of a disappoint to me! So here I am avoiding revision, woops.
So today is going to be about those who suffer, like me, with naturally horrible nails. And by that I mean weak, peeling, bendy nails that refuse to grow, and if they do are sneaky and break when they get to an appropriate level.
I've been doing some research recently because I've got to the point where I can't cover the horribleness up with nail vanish and its just making it worse. Nailtiques have got some really good reviews and I thought I would give it a go. It says to start with formula 2, but I went straight to 'formula 2plus' because my nails are that bad. I ordered mine from amazon because i read up about beautybay and people talked about the posting times being off. They wanted me to change things about my card aswell and I didn't want to do that.
The price was £12.15 including packaging, and it arrived in 2 days, when it said 7-10 days, so very happy with that!
It has worked wonders already. I can feel my nails hardening and I've only been wearing it 2 days. You can't wear nail vanish over the top but I'm not too bothered anyway.
I would definitely look into it if you have problematic nails like me!

Getting Lilac hair without the expensive

*The pictures do not show what my hair actually looks like, it is so much more lilacy/grey in person!!*

Hello lovelies,

So today I thought I'd give you a post about how I achieve my pastely/ white/ grey hair as I really wanted to create a video as well that would explain it so much better but my camera situation is yet to be sorted so this will have to do for the time being!
I'm going to tell you now- achieving pastel hair is pretty difficult. It means a lot of damage on your hair and it will go dry and hate you the whole time. But that doesn't mean it will fall out or that you won't be able to get rid of some of the dryness- deep conditioners will soon become your best friend, trust me!
Cutting your hair is also vital- don't try and hold onto hair that has go too far from being saved. I just had 3 and a bit inches off but my hair still feels so thick and in reasonably good condition.
I am not a hair dresser and therefore if your hair dresser advises you otherwise then maybe take their advise instead! Now to get on with telling you how to get the pastel hair:

Step 1: Bleaching your hair.

-You're going to need to get your hair bleached until its a very light pale yellow, if not the toner will not work.
I would definitely recommend getting your first full head of highlights by a professional as they will use better bleach for your hair then a packet dye. I would also say that you're going to have to be patient and take time between each dying as if not your hair is going to all split and a major cut will be needed. I got my hair dresser to get my hair all the way to the pale yellow as i trusted her with my hair, but if you're confident then look into packet dyes that are slightly more expensive, this isn't because I'm snobby at all I just would personally trust these more.

Step 2: Toner

If you have bleached hair already then you can move straight on to toner.
I can not tell you how dramatically toner changes your hair- all in a good way though!
Toner basically takes out the brassy tones that are in your hair by using a cool colour to neutralise it. My hairdresser put a toner on my hair for me but it was still pretty yellow, which is where I took matters into my own hands by using Directions by La Riche.
I lovelovelove this toner. Its purple, but please don't freak out ! It is simply going to make your hair such a pretty white colour.
I've put the packaging in one of the photos just to show you what you are looking for.
Stick this on with its full concentration (don't water it down with conditioner) for about 15- 30 minutes, because the longer you keep it on for the more likely you are going to get a purple tint to your hair as well as the white.
I used 2 pots for one head as this is really needed. They retail at around £4.50 each depending on where you shop for them.

Step 3: Lilac Tint

For the lilac tint I used directions colours again but this time I 'watered' down the colour with conditioner. For this I used Osmo's leave in conditioner just because this is all I could find! It really doesn't matter what conditioner you use though.
As you can see the colour starts off pretty dark in the pot so I tend to use 2:1 ratio of conditioner to colour, so that I achieve the second colour.
I put this all over my hair, but some bits develop quicker than others depending on how porous your hair is and what bits you put on first blah blah blah....
I kept this on for about 10 minutes because I didn't want it too bright because my school really would hate it!

And thats it guys!

I hope this helped because its what worked for me. Let me know if you need any more help as I'd be happy to give you advice!

Lots of love,

Favourite foundation of 2012

Hi everyone!

So today, (although it is a bit close to being tomorrow)!, I thought I'd share with you a foundation I've sworn by and loved for the past few months.
Revlon ColorStay foundation is so popular over youtube and I thought I'd leave the circle of my normal cheap foundation routine and take the leap to this life safer.
Revlon have a range for normal/dry skin and also combination/oily skin. I love the fact that I know I'll be getting a foundation that my skin will be most suited for and that was one of the reasons I chose to try it.
I use combination/oily in buff, as I previously had the lightest shade in ivory but found it was a tad to light and had a pink undertone. It is such a creamy foundation but leaves a great matt finish that stays throughout the day even with my oily skin! It is very fast drying which can be both positive and negative; its good because this means you can apply this quickly and not feel like powder is going to make your face extremely cakey, but not so good because you have to be quick to apply it if not one word that appears in my mind is 'patchy'- and girls..who wants a patchy face?
The only thing I really don't like about this is the fact that it doesn't have a pump- the fact you have to pour it out leaves so much waste and for a person still in education with this product retailing at around £12.50 that can not happen!
If you want a medium to full coverage with a matt finish then this foundation is perfect for you.

And heres for that New Years resolution...

Hi lovelies!

So I hope you all had a fabulous new year (minus the hangovers!) and enjoyed whatever you did, which for me was feeling sorry for myself by drinking hot chocolate and watching 2 Broke Girls...ahhh.

So for me the new year of 2013 meant making a new years resolution and actually sticking to it. I know you would have heard it all before, alot of times from yourself probably aha!, but this time I actually mean it and it all starts today!

Being healthy, by far, is something I've wanted to stick to. Not only is it good for weight loss, but for the skin, and my friends will know how much I moan about mine!
All these FAD diets may work, but its not a long term thing and that is something that wouldn't work for me. I've always been one of these people who have to see results instantly to think they are working- I go on crash diets that lead me to binge and put the whole weight back on.
So this time its about just being healthy- not silly.
The Paleo diet isn't completely right for me, so therefore I won't go particularly by the guidelines. I've been a pescetarian since the beginning of April and so introducing meat back into my diet isn't something I want to do- maybe in a while I'll feel like I want it back but at the moment it really doesn't appeal to me and that fits in fine with my lifestyle.
I'm trying to stick away from carbs like white rice, white pasta and white bread, but I'll be having brown rice every other day with one of my meals because I don't think its right to completely cut something out of your diet, because once you start eating it again it will effect your weight (and not in a good way!).
Obviously no sweets or chocolate (sigh!) but a treat once a week is fine as long as you don't go over board!

So guys, if anyone has the same resolution as me feel free to comment below because theres nothing better than helping each other with that motivation that can sometimes be desperately needed!

Thanks for visiting my blog everyone,

Jas xox
